"I know, and as a Christian, I think I should pray to God to give me the strength to forgive Lee for her transgressions," Doug sighed. "I'm still not convinced Bryon's mine. For all I know, she could have had him with Brent Canavaugh or maybe some other man in town. But even then, I'm still going to love him no matter what, regardless of whether or not he's mine."

"If he's mine, then I suppose he's a miracle child from the disastrous union that Lee and I shared. Even though our marriage was troubled, Bryon was perhaps the only good thing that came out of it. And for that I'm glad. And even though I do not approve of Bryon's choice in a mate, I still want to be there for my grandchildren."

"So you're my nephew, huh?" Naeten smiled tenderly as she nuzzled him.

"I will," Doug nodded. "Also, there is something else. I actually had another child with another woman through artificial insemination. His name is Dougie and his mother was Rebecca North, Hope's nanny. She took care of her after her mother died in that horrible car accident. I wanted Hope to have a sibling, but then things got complicated, and my best friend Robert LeClair fell in love with her, and I changed my mind."

"But then Robert married Rebecca and when Dougie was born, they named him after me. Unfortunately Rebecca passed away in a plane crash and Dougie went to live with Robert. He went to Salem briefly to live with me and Lee but Lee did not want him around. Maggie even wanted to take him in but Robert decided to take him back to Paris. I was very devastated. I wanted to raise my son, but my life was too complicated for that to happen. It wasn't until later that Julie found out that I fathered him. Robert and I argued one point about Dougie's living arrangements and he ran away. But Julie luckily found him and brought him back."

He then exhaled heavily and rubbed his temples. "So you have another brother that you've never met. I guess Julie and I finally got what we always wanted. Our own children and we are grateful. Now we have Sheryl, Danielle, Monroe, you, Buck, Rolf, Jack, R, Hope, David, Robbie and Dougie."

"OW!" Naeten flinched as she pulled away in pain. "Feisty, isn't he?" she retorted at Lee.

"Yes, he is," Lee chuckled.

"Beats me," Doug shrugged. "Who knows? He might end up visiting me one day. He might get to meet his entire ohana. I think you'll like him."

"Naeten, go get him a hot dog," Lee ordered him as Naeten nodded. "Okay." She then cradled Vincent in his arms and walked off to a local hot dog stand.

Lee then sighed as she rubbed her forehead deeply. "What am I going to do? How can I possibly reconcile with Doug and Julie?" she muttered.

"You can start by telling them the truth and being honest with them," Renee proposed.

"You think that's going to help any?" Lee scoffed with a glare.

"I know that much. Lee, if you even want a decent relationship with your in-laws, you have to be open with them. No lies," Renee rolled her eyes.

"I would tend to agree too," Tony nodded.

"If you're really serious about this Lee, they might be more willing to forgive you," Marlena retorted.

"And when Julie got that scar on her face, I think she must have felt very self-conscious about it. She probably felt that her physical appearance was inferior to that of Lee," Doug added.

"Do you guys really think so?" Lee scoffed.

"We're positive, Lee," said Rhonda. "I think that if Doug and Julie sense that you are sincere in repairing your broken relationships with each other, they might finally get to accept you."

"But even with the scars, I still think Julie is the most beautiful woman in the world," Doug smiled. "Nothing can compre to her elegance, her grace, her kindness and warmth. And I still love her dearly. If she wishes to have more children to me and God willing we are able to have more children, then we shall have more. I don't think Lee and I should have been together in the first place. We've rushed into the marriage too quickly and it was an awful mistake. Sometimes I wonder how I can even be a father-in-law to her when she has been my sister-in-law and then my wife."

"How?" Doug frowned.

"Here we are, Vincent. The local marketplace," Naeten announced as she and Vincent arrived at the marketplace. They soon approached the hot dog stand and a man turned to the duo. "How can I help you today, Madame?"

"I would like two hot dogs please," Naeten answered.

"You want some ketchup, mustard or relish with that?" the man retorted.

"Even through Lee manipulated and such, you still loved mom and had too much babies, incluiding me" Rod smiled

"I want it with ketchup!" Vincent giggled

"And even then you still love her?" Doug retorted crisply.

"Okay, ketchup it is," the man nodded as he went out to get the hot dogs. A few minutes later, he then arrived with the hot dogs, with one having ketchup on it. He then handed them to Naeten and she paid him.

"Have a nice day," he said as Naeten walked away with Vincent.

"Yeah," Doug whispered. "I may have been an orphan when I was a boy, but I rose above the odds and I had a successful life. I have a loving wife and a great family, including an alien son who loves me very much."

"You know... I didn't really have to drink that potion to retain my fertility. Men can technically keep on fathering children throughout their lifetime," Doug mused. "I should have thought of that earlier. Then again, this is definitely something I will discuss with Julie."

Doug then chuckled lightly as he rubbed Rod's head. "You are so childish sometimes," he said as he hugged and kissed him.

"I know, and I'm sorry, okay? I didn't mean to be short with you. I was only trying to help you eat properly, that's all," Naeten murmured soothingly as she kissed him on the cheek. "After all, you're my sister's child."
