"Hello," the doctor smiled as he walked into the room and then sat down to face them. "I'm afraid I have some bad news."

"What?" Michelle inquired.

"You are not pregnant. I'm sorry," the doctor sighed.

"Well, it's simply not our time yet to be parents," Michelle shrugged. "Come on, let's go." She then got up and shook his hand with a smile. "Thank you for your time, doc. Goodbye."

She then walked out of the room with Rod and they left the hospital.

They soon got into their car and drove off into the streets in silence. Michelle then stared ahead with a blank expression as she remained silent and said nothing.

"Yeah; if we fail to have a child, then we should try adoption," Michelle nodded. "That's what my parents tried to do before my mama found out she was pregnant with me."
