"Okay, you go to sleep again, when your mother awakes, we'll play" RL Rod whispered as he placewd Esperanza on the crib and covered her with a mantle

"I should, i am not your father" Rod growled "Why didn't you instead asked me to divorce Lee rather than telling me that?! You've hurt my feelings, i thought you were gonna be my daughter, but it was all a BIG, terrible lie!" he snarled

Esperanza then giggled softly while yawning deeply and closing her eyes to sleep.

"Don't be ridiculous; I am not childish enough to make you divorce her since she loves you too much to allow you to do that! I don't know why you even cared about me in the first place! I'm only the spawn of Stefano DiMera; I am no better than Tony!" Renee growled indignantly with hate in her eyes.

RL Rod then smiled as he drew out his favorite raccoon dool and put it next to Esperanza "Good night" he whispered as he kissed her nose

"I do care about you because i thought you've needed a father, and i wanted to be your father!" Rod snarled "I do care very much about you and now you tell me that i am not your father? Okay then, i suppose iam no father of anyone!"

Esperanza then purred softly while snuggling close to the raccoon doll and drifted to sleep.

"You never were my father! Maybe I am foolish to ever think I ever wanted or needed a father! I never had one to begin with! I never even had a mother! I an essentially an orphan!" Renee snapped furiously while slamming her fist on her chair and threw down her cigarette before she smashed it to the floor. She then stood up and turned to walk away. "Goodbye; I never want to speak to you ever again! I hate you1"

"You hate me," Renee hissed angrily as she pulled away from him. "You never loved me. You only saw me as Lee's daughter and nothing more. You probably wish to kill me just so you can have Lee to yourself!"

"NO!" Rod wailed as he hugged her again "I love you very much and i care about you, don't say that!" he whimpered "I always loved you and wanted to be your father so you won't feel like an orphan, i swear it!" he cried

"Then, in that case, I forgive you too," Renee sighed as she clung to him and sobbed quietly with shudders running down her body. "I'm sorry for being so selfish and cruel. I'm no better than my own mother."

"Approaching Planet Legacia, ETA: 2 minutes" the adjutant of the Hyperion announced

"I think we need to strengthen our relationship first before we do anything of that sort," Renee proposed with a sigh as she brushed her hair lightly. "And by the way, I think I might actually be able to forgive Lee. Even though she hasn't been a great mother before, she has been trying very hard to be better and she is the only mother I've ever had. I still love her no matter what and I do want to reconcile with her."

"Thank you, Rod," Renee smiled as she hugged him tightly and nuzzled him underneath the cheek while lying peacefully in his arms. "Thank you for being there for me."

"Hey, guys! The Hyperion's arrived at the R.I.E.! We better get down!" Lorrie bellowed as she barged into the room and saw Renee and Rod locked together in an embrace. She then snickered quietly and let out a loud whistle before beckoning them to follow her.

Renee then pulled out of Rod's arms as she smiled at her older twin and went out to follow her.

The Hyperion soon arrived in front of the R.I.E. as it slowed to a stop and the entire team filed out of the spaceship. They marched over into the building and traveled through the lobby before entering the elevator. Lee then pushed on the elevator as the doors slammed shut and they made their ascent to the classroom.

"Lee, I'm sorry about what I said before; I really don't want us to part on bad terms and I really like to reconcile with you as much as possible. Can you please forgive me?" Renee pleaded softly to her mother as she turned around and glared at her. "Oh, now you have come begging me for forgiveness? After how you insulted ME and your stepfather? I'm not sure if I should even forgive you!"

"Oh, come on, Lee! Give Renee a chance! She's really sorry and she really wants to make your relationship with her stronger and better than before! You two have been through enough as it is and I think it's time you put your differences aside," Julie chided her rival firmly as Lee sighed while rolling her eyes with a scowl before she paused on her words and reflected on them. After several minutes, her expression changed into a more thoughtful one and she directed her gaze towards her estranged daughter.

"You're right, Renee; I do love you very much and I want nothing more than to be a part of your life and to have a relationship with you. You mean the world to me and I would do anything for you. I love you so much that I would even die for you. I only did what I did was because I wanted to protect you, even if I was being selfish at times. I know that I did some bad things but I only wanted the best for you."
